We welcomed Paul to the firm… in May 2011.  Paul is a former managing and senior partner of Hill Dickinson, and has joined us as a Professional Negligence Consultant.

Key areas of expertise include…Paul is a hugely knowledgeable and respected litigator having spent many years building up a strong reputation in the professional negligence sector.  Legal Experts – the definitive guide to leading specialist solicitors and barristers – has this year recommended Paul which is a great testament to his experience.

His work sees him acting for claimants who have received wrong or bad advice from professional service suppliers such as accountants, architects, estate agents, surveyors and independent financial consultants.

Paul has worked on many high profile cases the latest of which was Jones v Kaney.  A major victory whereby the Supreme Court rules that expert witnesses should no longer be immune from suit for breach of duty.  This follows Paul’s case of Hall v Simons where the House of Lords removed immunity from suit for barristers and solicitor advocates.  Another major and well known case was the action for the Archdiocese of Liverpool relating to the building of the Metropolitan Catherdral.

He fits in because…   his knowledge and depth of experience will complement the existing Dispute Resolution team.

At the end of the day… A great believer in working hard and playing hard, Paul enjoys history, antiques, country pursuits, philately, gardening, opera and travel.
