We welcomed Kirsty to the firm…. in April 2013. She has 19 years experience of practicing Family law. Having studied at Manchester University and completed her LPC at Chester College of Law, Kirsty started her career in a high street practice gradually working her way up to being a member of one of the largest family law teams in the UK. But has now returned to her roots!!
Key areas of experience include…. all aspects of family law, but particular expertise in dealing with financial aspects arising from relationship breakdown. Kirsty is an expert in pensions on divorce and regularly deals with cases involving high value assets.
She is an experienced court advocate and represents clients at all levels of court proceedings. However, she is also a trained Collaborative lawyer and is committed to promoting alternatives to Court proceedings, as a way to resolve a dispute following a relationship breakdown.
She fits in because…. Kirsty is a local girl and lives in Glossop. Clients like her because she is very approachable and down-to-earth. She gives sensible and practical advice. In addition to her role at DBF, Kirsty is the Chair of her local Collaborative Law Group and runs her own ladies networking group in Glossop.
At the end of the day… With her husband and two children, Kirsty has a very busy family life. She enjoys walking, camping and live music. She is an enthusiastic cook and keen baker. Kirsty is also on the PTA committee for her daughter’s school.
