Glossop Working Mum’s and Ladies Networking Group is staging its relaunch event on Tuesday 8th April 2014 from 10.00am – 11.30am at Glossop Cricket and Bowling Club.
Organised by Davis Blank Furniss, the group was successfully launched in June 2013 and resulted in two well-attended meetings. However, after conducting extensive local research regarding what local women want from such a group, it was decided to widen the focus to include all local women in business.
The aim of the group is to provide a forum for local working women to build relationships and contacts amongst themselves to help support and progress their business.
Each session will consist of an informal meet and greet – a chance for attendees to introduce themselves and their business and to let everyone else know what they are looking for from the group. There will also then be a short business focused presentation, to be followed by a business card prize-draw.
Kirsty Morbey, family solicitor and collaborative lawyer at Davis Blank Furniss, said: “Our first events were real successes but we realised the group could provide wider benefit for other businesswoman in Glossop and not just working mums. The feedback we’ve had so far has been great and we’re looking forward to welcoming both old and new faces.”
The cost to attend is £5, which includes refreshments, and is payable on the door. Places can be reserved via here.
