National Dispute Resolution Awareness Week is taking place from Monday 25th to Friday 29th November and HOTpod – the Collaborative Law Service for High Peak, Oldham & Tameside – is staging an event to raise the profile of the service and to show how it can help families who are experiencing a family breakdown and want to avoid going to court.
National Dispute Resolution Awareness Week is being co-ordinated by Resolution – the national family law association – and HOTpod’s drop-in event will be taking place from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday 27th November at Va Bene in Glossop.
The event is open to anyone who is looking for some free advice from a collaborative lawyer, a mediator or support coach. HOTpod’s team of family lawyers, financial professionals and family consultants will be on hand to listen to specific queries and to share their knowledge on a no obligation and confidential basis. Attendees will also enjoy free drinks and nibbles.
HOTpod member organisations include businesses actually based in the area – including; Davis Blank Furniss, Thorneycroft Solicitors PDA Financial Planning, Absolute Specialists, Cheshire Mediation and Bakers Solicitors – as well as professionals who live locally and work for firms such as Mills & Reeve and DTE Group. Kirsty Morbey – spokesperson for HOTpod and family solicitor and collaborative lawyer at Davis Blank Furniss – said: “Collaborative Law is a new concept to many people, so the aim of staging the event is to educate and inform the community on the options that are available to them.
