Sonio Singh

Biography

We welcomed Sonio to the firm... in November 2010.  Having accumulated a wealth of experience in the North West legal market (including as a Partner at Pannone), we were delighted to welcome Sonio as a Partner in our Corporate Team.

Key areas of expertise include...Sonio is hugely experienced in conducting a diverse range of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, reverse takeovers, buying and selling businesses, private equity and corporate governance work, company re-organisations and business start-ups. He has vast expertise in a number of sectors and industries including healthcare, logistics, retail and leisure. 

He also brings a Corporate Recovery capability and has acted for a variety of acquisitive OMBs and SMEs regarding pre-pack transactions and purchases of distressed businesses from insolvency practitioners. He has also advised a number of insolvency practitioners in the North West with regard to corporate turnaround matters and ancillary work.

He fits in because...   as a prominent member of the Manchester business community Sonio's extensive networking skills have enabled him to build up an impressive portfolio of contacts across a number of intermediaries and corporates. His fluent knowledge of Punjabi also stands him in good stead with the increasing prominence of Asian businesses via the route of Inward Investment into the UK.

At the end of the day...  Sonio is enthusiastic about his football and cricket, playing in the 11-a-side Manchester Accountants League, as well as nudging singles down to third man during the cricketing summer.    When not on the pitch Sonio endures Saturday afternoons watching West Bromwich Albion.  Conversely, he enjoys travel and eating out in South Manchester.
