Peter Heginbotham OBE
Biography
Peter joined Davis Blank Furniss in 1968 and has specialised in commercial and employment law. Much of his time is now taken up with managing and marketing the Davis Blank Furniss team and capabilities but, building on his wide experience, he continues to be “hands on”. He is frequently brought in to help out with “problem solving” complex tasks and issues, especially with the many owner-managed businesses who have been long-standing clients. They know that if they give him a call he will always be in a position to talk through any problem with them.
He also gives advice to numerous bodies including the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and is currently President of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
Peter was awarded an OBE for services to the business community in 2005, and was appointed Honorary Consul in Manchester for Japan in January 2008.
He was formerly a Trustee of the Lord Mayor's Emergency Appeal Fund and was a Director of the British Chambers of Commerce in 2006/7. Peter is also a fellow of the RSA.
Peter's interests include reading and writing and watching Oldham Athletic (sometimes at the same time!).
