Anna Bunting
Biography
Anna is an associate solicitor in the Employment Department and has been with the firm since 2001.
As an Employment specialist she assists employers of all sizes on a daily basis, providing practical solutions to a comprehensive range of employment issues through all stages of the relationship from recruitment through to termination. Anna helps clients to avoid what can be time consuming and costly disputes by drafting and updating contracts, service agreements, restrictive covenants, policies and procedures. Anna also has experience acting for and advising senior executives and employees giving her a good insight into all aspects of this area of the law. In addition to dealing with day to day advice she regularly handles litigious matters representing clients in tribunal proceedings.
She and the rest of the team regularly present seminars and training sessions for clients.
Having additional expertise in the field of liquor licensing, Anna also assists many of her clients in the licensed trade, particularly as part of a business transfer, to deal with the wide range of applications required by the new Licensing Act. Regularly appearing at hearings before the Licensing Committee and Magistrates Court she is also able to provide representation in contested licensing matters should this be required.
In her spare time Anna tries to further her keen interest in travel having spent a year before joining the firm in Australia, Asia and Europe. She enjoys playing netball for the firm’s team and spending holidays practising her hobbies of scuba diving and skiing. She also has a passion for all types of music and plays the piano.
